Our Story
Established 2016
Old North State Council
Ship 4019 began in May 2016 with a group of enthusiastic youth from Western Alamance and Williams High Schools. When discussing ideas for our Ship's name there were several historical ships considered before the youth voted to be called the Queen Anne's Revenge -- the ship of the famous pirate Blackbeard. At the occasion of our ship's induction, we were granted a Letter of Mark by our District Scout Chairman so we are no longer pirates, but instead privateers.
We now include youth from all over the local area!
We enjoy a variety of activities including camping, kayaking, sailing, but mostly having fun working on boats and fellowship.
We have been involved in several local and area events such as the Area 7 Sea Scout Academy in Fort Monroe, VA, the Occoneechee Sea Scout College, and the Davy Jones Rendezvous. Our Ship also partners with other Ships to do joint events whenever possible!
